J.D. Vance Speaks Over Moderators

Whether you watched last night’s vice presidential debate or are spending the morning catching up, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that it was quite the event — including this moment when Sen. J.D. Vance became seemingly upset with CBS moderators over being fact-checked:

What ensued after was Vance and moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan going back and forth for a full 60 seconds. Both women tried to move on to the next question, and Vance continually spoke over them, urging that they allow him to explain a basic legal concept centering on immigration.

“Thank you for describing the legal process.” Every female attorney with 0-100 years of experience felt this

Eventually, CBS cut Vance’s mic, and the next question was asked.

His behavior toward the moderators did not go unnoticed by viewers at home, especially given Vance’s previous disparaging comments about women both before and during his run for vice president. So, people couldn’t help but call him out:

The two women in charge of this debate telling Vance his time was up and him simply ignoring them, talking over them, and disrespecting them is the most revealing part of this debate so far.

JD Vance talking over the female moderators. We women have all been there. Overtalked by an entitled mansplainer.

Vance talking over the moderators for 2 minutes when they keep asking him to stop is EXACTLY WHO HE IS.

He does not respect women. He bulldozes to get his way.

They had to MUTE his mic to get him to stop.#VPDebate
