After American singer Sabrina Carpenter and Irish actor Barry Keoghan went public with their romance in February of this year, it didn’t take them long to invite fans into the flirty side of their relationship.
She got even more NSFW on her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, which was released in August. The song “Bed Chem” is widely believed to be about her and Barry’s romance, with fans noting that Sabrina appears to directly reference the clothes that they were wearing when they first met at Paris Fashion Week.
If you’re wondering, Barry isn’t much more restrained when it comes to his and Sabrina’s relationship, with the star regularly commenting on her social media posts to show his appreciation.
It all started when the couple’s mutual friend Alfredo Flores shared a photo dump to his Instagram page on Saturday, which included a picture of himself with Barry, as well as a separate one with Sabrina.
The image with Sabrina is the third photo in the carousel, and is a selfie of Alfredo and the star enjoying her exclusive Erewhon smoothie. Both Sabrina and Alfredo are holding a cup of the drink, with Sabrina holding hers up to her mouth, which is open next to the straw.
Without wasting any time, Barry suggestively quipped in the comments: “Slide 3. Im the cup.”
Needless to say, people have been left taken aback by the bold remark, however, they were quick to joke about the fact that Barry and Sabrina appear to be a perfect match, with Sabrina already having a bit of a reputation for how open she is about sex.
Responding to a screenshot of Barry’s comment, one popular tweet reads: “a match made in freakville.”
The remark also caused a stir over on Reddit, where one of the most popular comments is simply a meme image of the op-ed headline: “We Should All Know Less About Each Other.”
In August, Instagram gossip blog Deux Moi claimed that Barry and Sabrina had broken up. While neither Barry nor Sabrina directly acknowledged the speculation at the time, Barry appeared to immediately rebuke it by liking one of Sabrina’s posts.
