That’s thanks to Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance, who, in a resurfaced speech from 2021, faulted the “childless left” for America’s problems.
He further took aim at childfree people in an interview with Tucker Carlson, saying they’re “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”
“It’s just a basic fact,” he added. “You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC — the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”
Sadly, Republicans have only continued their attacks against Kamala, who doesn’t have biological kids but is affectionately referred to as “Momala” by her stepchildren, Ella and Cole Emhoff. Most recently, former Trump aide Sarah Huckabee Sanders criticized Kamala for not having kids, seemingly suggesting she needs them to keep her “humble.”
