Kamala Harris Responds To Taylor Swift Endorsement

If you remember, earlier this month, Taylor endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket immediately following Harris’s first debate against former president Donald Trump.

Taylor clarified that Harris “fights for the right and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Taylor encouraged followers to register to vote, and following her endorsement, she reportedly drove more than 400,000 visitors to Vote.gov only 24 hours after her initial post.

It was totally expected and not at all surprising that an upset Trump said on Fox & Friends that Taylor would “probably pay a price” for her endorsement “in the marketplace.” The former media personality also posted on Truth Social, “I Hate Taylor Swift!”

But you won’t catch Vice President Harris posting angry comments on social media.

Partaking in Wired’s series, Harris responded to popular searches like her name pronunciation, iconic laugh, and Taylor Swift.

“I am very proud to have the support of Taylor Swift. She’s an incredible artist,” Harris said.

Harris continued, “I really respect the courage that she has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right.”

“But we were on different sides of the Super Bowl last year. I am a 49ers fan, but who’s mad at anyone for being loyal to their team?”

It’s good to know that if you disagree on issues, like “Who should win the Super Bowl?” you can still come together in the end.
